How it works

  • Why on earth would you bid for a 19-day, grade four (strenuous) trek to Everest Base Camp at Kala Pattar? Because it's there!

  • This is more than just your average 'teahouse' trek – you'll have at least six porters with you as you travel up the mountain, regardless of whether there are any other climbers going up with you and the trek is fully serviced all the way.

  • The first ascent is a doddle – it's by aeroplane from Kathmandu to Lukla. But from there you're on your own two feet until you reach Base Camp at 5,545m on Day 13. You'll return by the short route (phew!) and be back in Kathmandu by Day 17. After the trek you can put your feet up in the five star Soaltee Crowne Plaza Hotel.

  • This is a trip for two people and is one serious challenge, yet, thanks to Tiger Mountain Group, you will want for nothing, you will take in the most majestic scenery on Earth and you will never, ever forget this incredible, epic journey.

LOT DEFINITION
• This lot is an 18-day holiday for two, which includes a 19-day exclusive trek to Everest and 4 nights at the five star Soaltee Crowne Plaza Hotel.

IT INCLUDES
• Four nights stay at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza including breakfast in double or twin accommodation.
• 14 nights / 15 days exclusive trek with meals cooked by the sherpas, trekking equipment, sherpa guides, porters and cooks.
• 1 full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu with an English speaking guide.
• Internal return flight from Kathmandu to Lukla for two.

GENERAL
• Flights are not included unless specified above
• Transfers are not included unless specified above
• Insurances are not included - we recommend all our bidders take out comprehensive travel insurance before embarking on any trips.

ITINERARY:

02 :    AM: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City and Swayambhunath.

         PM: Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath and Bodhnath.

         Overnight at Soaltee Crown Plaza.

03 :    Transfer to airport. Fly Kathmandu / Lukla. Upon arrival, meet, by sherpa team and start 15 days Everest Base Camp trek to Chumoa. Overnight camping.

04 :    Trek to Namche. Overnight camping.

05 :    Rest / Acclimatization day. Overnight camping.

06 :    Trek to Thame. Overnight camping.

07 :    Trek to Khumjung. Overnight camping.

08 :    Trek to Tengboche. Overnight camping.

09 :    Rest / Acclimatization day. Overnight camping.

10 :    Trek to Dingboche. Overnight camping.

11 :    Rest / Acclimatization day. Overnight camping.

12 :    Trek to Loboje. Overnight camping.

13 :    Trek to Kala Pattar and back. Overnight camping.

14 :    Trek to Phortse. Overnight camping.

15 :    Trek to Namche. Overnight camping.

16 :    Trek to Lukla. Overnight camping.

17 :    End trek. Fly Lukla / Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel.

         Remaining day at leisure.

         Overnight at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza.

18 :    AM: Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur city.

         PM: At leisure.

         Eve: Transfer for farewell dinner at Nepalese restaurant with cultural programme.

         Overnight at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza.

19 :    Transfer to airport for onward flight.
