  • Jewellery designer Kleshna is well known for her flamboyant crystal designs (favoured by Kylie, Catherine Zeta Jones and Victoria Beckham ...) and the wonderful Poppy brooch she has created for this Lot is no exception.

  • What's more, this very brooch is being modelled by a starry bunch around town.  You may have spotted it on Olga Kurylenko's gown as you sashayed passed her on the red carpet at the Quantum of Solace London Premiere... or you might have seen Fern Britton wearing it on ITV's This Morning!

  • Created exclusively for the Royal British Legion to raise much needed funds, designer Kleshna describes this gorgeous brooch as follows:

“A plethora of deep red Swarovski crystal hand beaded layers, anchored by an ornate jet black vintage bead. The whole piece is accentuated by the signature single leaf accompanied by more delicate hand beaded shading.”

And it really is rather stunning!

  • This poppy is not just a valuable, unique piece of designer jewellery.  Nor is it just a fabulous investment.  This poppy serves as a poignant reminder of the gallantry of our servicemen and women, both past and present.

  • It is a brooch that will be worn for generations, building a tradition of Remembrance for years to come for all those lucky enough to wear it.

  • And an added bonus for the less nimble fingered:  the lucky wearer will no longer have to struggle with paper poppies and pins!

  • Playing her part in the Royal British Legion's exclusive poppy jewellery designs, Kleshna has created two beautiful brooches for this fund raising initiative.  One is featured in our High Bid Auction (Lot 4998) while this one is featured here in the Low Bid Auction, where the lowest, unique bid will win.

    Kleshna comments:

"... I am really honoured to be part of this fantastic project... The brief was to capture the Legion's values of Reflection, Hope, Comradeship, Selflessness and Service. It took hours of work, but eventually I crafted a special metal mesh shaped in the form of the three-petal poppy which represents the three arms of the forces - Army, Navy & Air Force... It has been an enjoyable but nostalgic journey for me making the poppies and I hope that I have been able to contribute towards raising some much needed funding..."

  •  100% of the entry fees from every bid placed for this lot will go to the Poppy Appeal.
