Unlike some of our other India trips, with jam-packed itineraries to suit the keenest of travellers, this Lot is one for the discerning explorer… with plenty of time in which to discover beautiful Bekal at your own leisure.
But those resourceful souls at TWX couldn’t resist including one scheduled treat – lucky for you it is an enchanting half-day cruise in the pristine Valiaparamba backwaters of North Kerala, where you’ll enjoy traditional Kerala cuisine and culture, as well as the opportunity to catch a glimpse of unspoilt nature up-close-and-personal.

Once the cruise has put in the right frame of mind to unwind and enjoy the remainder of your 7-night getaway, Bekal – declared by the Government of India as a Special Tourism Area in 1992 – is yours to roam.
We suggest a visit to the unique Bekal Fort, Kerala’s largest fort, spreading over 40 acres and a main source of attraction for historians, tourists and discerning travellers alike owing to stunning architecture and picturesque views across the whole of Kanhangad, Pallikare, Bekal and Kottikulam Uduma.

Serene, secluded and punctuated with casuarinas trees, Bekal also boasts some of India’s most striking beaches: Make sure to pay a visit to Bekal Beach, Kappil, Kanwatheertha and Azhithala (in between scenic treks to any one of Bekal’s beautifully landscaped hill stations).

INCLUDED:
- Total 7 nights accommodation Superior Charm Room with Courtyard based on two people sharing at Vivanta by Taj Bekal
- Bed and breakfasts basis only
- Transfers to/from Mangalore – Bekal
- Meet & Greet services of a TWX representative
- Half-day boat cruise in Kerala backwaters
- Government Service Tax

EXCLUDED:
- Flights and airport taxes
- Any visa fees
- Expenses of personal nature like drinks, personal insurance, tips and telephone calls
- Any additional expenses due to unforeseen problems like natural disaster, war or strikes, cancellation or misconnection of flight or last minute change of timings etc
- Any other service, which has not been specified as included

GENERAL:
- This package is valid from 1st October 2012 - 30th September 2013, strictly subject to availability and black out dates
- A surcharge is applicable for bookings made during peak periods
- Dates outside of the validity period are available at a surcharge

- Days at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities

Day 08 Bekal – Mangalore
- Breakfast at the hotel
- Transfer to Mangalore International Airport for onward journey to London
