Fly into Botswana where your adventure awaits. You can spend four nights at a choice of any two of the three prestigious Orient-Express properties in and around the Okavango Delta.
- Khwai River Lodge overlooks the floodplains and beyond into the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Renowned for its high concentrations of large mammals, don't be at all surprised to see predators in action from the comfort (and thankfully, the safety!) of your own private deck. You can also come close to nature in a slightly different way, as the Lodge indulges you in what it calls its 'Naturally Wild' aromatherapy treatment (I say, steady on, Carruthers), and all in the privacy of your own luxurious tented quarters!
- Or maybe you fancy staying at The Savute Elephant Camp in the heart of the Chobe National Park. Here your accommodation is perched above the now dry Savute Channel giving you a bird’s eye view of elephant in their natural habitat. Their watering hole is literally metres away from the camp's main building while lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena are regular stalkers too!
 
- Then, there’s Eagle Island Camp. Hidden from the world, deep within the Okavango Delta and sitting on the fabulously named Xaxaba island, this camp overlooks the surrounding lagoon. The standard of wildlife viewing is jaw-dropping by all accounts with prolific birdlife and mammal sightings. And the human’s watering hole isn’t bad either! LOT DEFINITION:
- This Lot is for eight wildly indulgent days with Orient-Express Hotels and Safaris in the Okavango for 2 people.
INCLUDED:
- 4 Nights fully inclusive safari at any two of Orient Express' three camps in Botswana.
- Accommodation in a luxury air-conditioned tent for two people sharing while on safari.
- 3 Nights accommodation in a Superior Room at the Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town, South Africa.
- All meals and all drinks (excluding French champagne) while on safari in Botswana
- Breakfasts only in Cape Town
- Private return transfer from Cape Town airport to the Mount Nelson Hotel on arrival and departure.
- Game viewing activities.
- National Park fees.
- Medical Evacuation insurance.
- Private dining experience for two.
- All flights between the camps in Botswana are included.
- Laundry.
EXCLUDED:
- International flights.
- Any transfers other than those detailed.
- Lunches, dinners and beverages at the Mount Nelson Hotel, Cape Town.
- Regional flights to/from Botswana, Johannesburg or Cape Town are not included.
- Tours and additional activities, such as sightseeing trips in Cape Town, Botswana or elsewhere are not included.
- Items of a personal nature.
- Gratuities and communication costs.
- Passport and visa fees.
- Travel Insurance.
- Excess baggage charges.
GENERAL:
- Offer is valid 1 September 2010 - 31 March 2011 subject to availability and black-out dates.
- If you win and choose to stay at Eagle Island Camp, the additional helicopter activity can be arranged for you via the Auction Room team for an additional cost per person.
- We strongly recommend that all our customers take out comprehensive travel insurance.
- Cancellation charges will be applicable if a reservation is confirmed and later cancelled.
- A surcharge may be payable on top of your winning bid if bookings are made for peak periods or outside this validity period. The Auction Room team will advise you on details when you win.
- More days may be available for the winning bidder to extend their stay. Ask the Auction Room Team for details.
