What do
I do?
Simply choose
the
lowest price
that you think that no one else will choose and enter it as your bid.
What is
a 'lowest unique bid'?
Note that
bids are in whole/round numbers of pounds, and a 'lowest unique bid' is the lowest
bid placed, that no one else matches. For example:
Bid : £1.00
Bid : £1.00
Bid : £1.00
Bid : £1.00
Bid : £2.00
Bid : £2.00
Bid : £3.00
Bid : £3.00
Bid : £3.00
>> Bid : £4.00 << WINNING BID
Bid : £5.00
Bid : £6.00
Bid : £6.00
In the above
example, the winning bid is £4.00 because it is the lowest bid, amount
which no one else has also entered as a bid.
Once the preset
maximum number of bids have all been placed, the auction will then automatically
be drawn. If yours is the lowest unique (i.e. unmatched) bid, then you can purchase
the item from us for the low price you have offered.
As soon as
one auction is closed another will open. So if you don't win first time round, there
will be lots more chances to bid again and choose that winning bid.
- Buy products at a fraction of their retail price!
- Excellent 'odds' of winning (i.e. we have a limited number of competing bids).
- All products are brand new, with manufacturer's guarantee.

-
Browse the

-
Call us at
Auctionair on +44 (0)1926 642 340 and place your bids over the phone.
(Please note, this is not a call centre, it is our Customer Service Team
and they are based in a converted stable block in the Warwickshire countryside.
They will be delighted to talk to you and we think you will find them to be very
nice people. However, because they are human, they are only available to call during
weekdays and normal office hours.)
We will email
the results to all participants whether or not they win. You may bid as many times
as you like, up to the maximum number indicated on each Lot. The Bidding Form takes
up to five bids per credit card transaction.
What happens
if I'm a winner?
If your bid
is a winning one, we will contact you by phone or e-mail. You will then have 24 hours
to confirm whether you want to go ahead and a further five days in which
to pay, by credit card, cheque or bank transfer. Please note that your winning bid
is not binding, but if you do confirm that you wish to go ahead, you will then be
making a binding commitment, so don’t say yes until you are sure.

What is
your business model? How do you make money?
This is a
promotion to persuade you to try using the Auctionair sealed bid system. We earn
income from the entry fees from bidding. Our costs are advertising and promotion,
web site build & maintenance, sales & fulfilment plus the loss we take on
the winning item. The Low bid cannot sell large volumes of Lots, so we set the number
of bids required to cover our costs. Over 40% of our customers bid again, often
using our other bidding systems. It is the repeat business from those customers
that really sustains us and generates our sustainable profits. So if you do bid,
persuading you to come back again is very important to us.
What happens
if I'm a winner?
If your bid
is a winning one, we will contact you by phone or e-mail. You will have 24 hours
to confirm whether you want to go ahead and a further five days in which to pay,
by credit card, cheque or bank transfer.
How do
I keep track of my bids?
You will open
an account in order to bid and you can see the status of your bids on your account
page when you log in again. We will also email you the final results of the auction
once all the winners have been finalised. (This is usually about 4 days after the
close.)
Can I check
